The first diocesan gathering with parishioners from a selection of parishes in West Cork to discuss questions posed by Pope Francis was held in Rosscarbery on Sunday afternoon.
Pope Francis has issued an invitation to participate in creating a synodal pathway for the Catholic Church – a Church where everyone feels included, can participate and constantly reaches out to others in the name of Christ.
The meeting was coordinated by a task group convened by Bishop Fintan.
The reports from the discussions will form part of the document to be submitted by Cork and Ross Diocese in late May to the national gathering.
