There’s a very strong tradition of an altar society associated with St. Patrick’s Church, Bandon. The current members had their annual dinner and social this evening at the Pink Elephant in Kilbrittain and I was a guest!
The Altar Society tends to the adornment of the sanctuary and altar of the church, with special attention to the provision of and arrangement of flowers. They provide a vuluable, all-year-round service on a voluntary basis.
